Why free checkers miss things
Most free link checkers send a request, read the HTTP status, and call anything that isn't a 404 healthy. That catches the loud failures and misses the expensive ones.
The link resolves, the product page loads, the sale completes — but your affiliate tag isn't on the final URL. Status code 200. Commission $0.
We read the URL at the end of the chain, not the start.
A sponsor landing page that still returns 200 and still loads, months after the campaign closed. Nothing is broken. Nothing converts.
We read the page text for expired-offer wording.
Shorteners and cloaked links fail somewhere in the middle. The first hop looks fine, so the checker never sees the failure.
We trace every hop and report the one that broke.

Honest limits
False positives cost more than missed leaks, so anything uncertain is reported as check manually and never counted as a loss.
Whether a specific product is currently in stock needs each retailer's catalog API, not an HTTP request. We don't guess at it.
We can't see your affiliate dashboard. The $/mo figure is a disclosed estimate from traffic and category assumptions — a triage number, not an invoice.
Some sites refuse automated requests. Those come back as unknown rather than broken, because we can't tell.
